Catania is located on the east coast of Sicily, at the foot of Mount Etna. Founded in the 8th century by the Greeks, it was conquered by the Romans, whose presence is still noted in the abundant ruins. It was destroyed by several volcanic eruptions. Therefore many of the buildings were built out of lava rocks. Catania is a great Italian destination being a dynamic city rich in history but also lively streets, bars, theatres, and restaurants. It also offers an active nightlife. Contact us to help you choose the best tour of Catania.
