David is 5.16 meters (almost 17 feet) tall and it’s made of a single block of marble from the Carrara quarries in Tuscany. Michelangelo Buonarroti’s genius exalts the small Republic (David) versus the return of the Lordship (Goliath), it’s a reflection on humanity and the virtue of men.

Our guides will show you the techniques used by the artist and the legendary story of these sculptures.
