The largest and oldest cemetery in Rome
Visit the largest and oldest cemetery in Rome, dating back to the year 120 d.c. and the numerous burial chambers where you will discover the different styles of pagan burial.
You will visit Crypts decorated with the bones of friars and mummies and the famous catacomb of Priscilla, known in all the ancient topographic and liturgical documents as “Queen catacumbarum” for the amount of martyrs buried here.
In the basement of the city of Rome, several cubicles and small rooms contain still visible frescoes, depicting the Old and New Testaments.
