Discover Cuneo on a walking tour
City tour of Cuneo with an officially-licensed tour guide.
Cuneo is named after its shape: in Italian “Cuneo” means Wedge, between two rivers: Gesso and Stura. Join us and find out the town’s troubled History. You will admire the main landmarks: Via Roma with the stunning noble palaces façades and a lot of churches, with stunning paintings and frescoes. In case ity rains, there are porticos where we can finsd dhelter!
The tour will continue with a walk over Piazza Galimberti, to understand just how important Cuneo was during WWII. The square is named after Tancredi “Duccio” Galimberti, who gave a speech from his balcony on the 26th July 1943 to invite people to rebel against the Nazi invasion which led to the creation of many groups of partisans (the Italian Resistance) around Cuneo.
The tour will then end with a walk through Viale Angeli and its art nouveau buildings and the Resistance Park. Do not miss taking a break at Arione Café, where Hemingway stopped to taste Cuneesi, the typical local chocolates, a Rhum-flavoured meringue with chocolate icing.
The tour will be confirmed once the minimum number of 15 participants has been reached.
