– Saint Peter’s basilica
– Santa Maria della Vittoria church

Description

Robert Langdon, the protagonist of the book by Dan Brown, accidentally arrives at the Pantheon because he has misunderstood a clue … it is from there that the tour begins.

The second stop is the Church of Santa Maria del Popolo and the Chigi chapel, where Robert Langdon will find the first dead cardinal and the word “EARTH” written by his body.

Continuing towards the Basilica of San Pietro, you will reach the obelisk surrounded by a meridian with the compass rose where another cardinal dies in the book with the word “AIR”, and then you will arrive at the Vatican and the Church of Santa Maria della Vittoria , where you can admire the famous Bernini sculpture “Ecstasy of Santa Teresa”, where Langdon finds the third cardinal dead with the word “FIRE”.

Once on Piazza Navona and at the “Fountain of the four rivers” you will see the obelisk where Langdon finds the last dead cardinal with the inscription “WATER”.

The last stop is Castel Sant’Angelo, the meeting place of the Illuminati, where a hidden passage leads to Vatican City … a shortcut often used by the Popes as a way to escape ,used as a hideout for the killer in the book.
