The day trip will start with Monteriggioni, a mighty medieval castle, that is a perfectly preserved walled Tuscan town.
Soak up the Medieval atmosphere in this fortified village 20 km (12.43 miles) from Siena. Then the tour will take you to Siena and its attractions. You will be enchanted by the magnificient Cathedral built in a Romanesque/Gothic style (admission included) and by the Palazzo Comunale (town hall).
This palace is located in the picturesque Piazza del Campo, where the famous Palio takes place every year. Time for lunch with local-product buffet with a three course menu.
Our pastry chef will show you how to make typical senese sweets and you will enjoy a tasting of Panforte, Cantuccini and Ricciarelli. Free time for shopping.
Then we will reach San Gimignano a UNESCO world-heritage site, called the “city of the beautiful towers.” You will marvel at the sight of 14 towers, a symbol of the power and wealth of its inhabitants during the Middle Ages.
The Chianti Tour will give you the opportunity to enjoy beautiful landscapes, hills, streets and squares that have been preserved over the centuries. This full day trip will end with a vineyard visit, reviewed in the most important wine journals, with a food tasting consisting of salami, cheese, and different kinds of bruschetta as well as a selection of fine wines.

Instructions to reach the meeting point: You can easily reach the meeting point by getting on T1 Leonardo tramway towards Villa Costanza (you have to get off at Villa Costanza stop which is also the end of the line). It will take almost 20 minutes from Florence main train station.
